Creating a Predictive Pattern

Our first step, now that we have our hierarchy, is to take the lowest value resource on the list and start pairing it with the matching currency. We call this "putting money in the bank".

We are not looking to get a reaction out of the dog - we're looking for B-O-R-I-N-G. We want the dog to feel relaxed enough to learn and retain so that the proper pairing can happen in their brain.

Let's see what this looks like and then we'll discuss warning signs, how to make it easier if one step is too challenging, and what to do if/when there's a slip-up.

Watch the video and complete the lessons before you give it a try on your own!

DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 WORK THROUGH THESE EXERCISES UNTIL ALL THE ADULTS IN THE HOME HAVE DONE IT AND CAN GUARANTEE THAT THE CHILD WILL BE SAFE TO DO SO.

CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12 SHOULD NEVER PERFORM THESE EXERCISES WITH A DOG WHO HAS A HISTORY OF GUARDING.
