Let's get started on the prep work for how to modify resource guarding! 

Many trainers have been taught to use punishment in order to suppress resource guarding. In fact, we see this often on popular dog training TV shows where everything is dramatised and blown out of reality. This makes for a dangerous dog! 

We are going to take a science-based and humane approach to resource guarding instead. The road we'll take is called The Humane Hierarchy. We start with the least invasive and minimally aversive methods (LIMA).
