Let's get started. Click the video below to hear my welcome message:
Take a moment to get acquainted with your classmates in the Community! That's where all the magic happens. Trust me. The more active you are, the more you're going to get out of it.
I see it time and time again. People join a course and then chicken out of the community. The interest in the program wanes and you don't feel supported. You stop making progress and then you start feeling like you wasted your money.
This. Is. Not. What. I. Want. For. You.
When I say "join the Community", I'm not just saying "click the "JOIN" button. I'm saying "Join us. Be part of us. Contribute. Give and take."
I am not messing around. JOIN the Community.
I am there for you, five days a week. I'm there to answer your questions and support you.
Go on! Get in there.
Here's what I want you to do:
- Create a new post and use #intro to introduce yourself and your dog.
- Tell us why you're here, what's going on with your dog when they're faced with a trigger.
- Leave a picture of your dog so that we can put a face to a name.
- Give us the deets! How old is your dog? How long has this been going on? What have you tried?
Next, I want you to read a post from someone else in the group and welcome them. Communities are not built on takers - they're built on givers and takers. There's a back-and-forth that needs to happen. Imagine how good it feels to get a warm welcome from a classmate and then BE that person for someone else. It'll come back to you tenfold.
Thanks for being part of this community!
See you in there!
In joining Cranky Canine™, you've not only gained access to this course, but you've got me for eight weeks, supporting you almost daily as you work through the material and practice in the real world. Once you've graduated this program, you'll be invited into our Exclusive Membership for Cranky Canines™ only, where you'll get ongoing support, future updates to the program, and you can repeat the live program as needed for a fraction of the tuition!
Every Monday, you will receive an email inviting you to check out the next module that is available to you. I know you probably want everything all at once but I've been teaching this for almost a decade and I know that never turns out well. We need a strong foundation in order to really make the progress we want.
In each module, you will find a number of lessons with short videos, worksheets, and/or resources to help you understand the concepts and get started on the work.
Go at your dog's pace. Don't worry if you lag behind - you have access to me for six weeks intensively and six additional weeks as a bonus! I wish I could say that we can fix reactivity in twelve weeks, but the reality is that behaviour change takes time and is affected by so many factors; many of which we cannot always control.
By the end of this course, you are going to have a much more clear understanding of your dog and their behaviour challenge. You will have the tools and techniques to modify behaviour safely.
You may need to repeat things. You may stumble. You may have regressions or setbacks. You may have hard days.
You may learn so much more about your dog that your brain feels like it will burst. You may love your dog even more than do already. You may feel a sense of control on the walks that you haven't felt in a long time. You may experience pride when walking down the street.
You deserve it. So does your dog.
We have live events planned, so be sure to check out your calendar of events and update your calendar so that you don't miss a thing! There will always be a replay for you, available in our Archive.
