Assessing Results

0%

Let's learn how to assess your results.

Step 1: Track your data. Don't leave this step behind! It's much easier to do now rather than a day or two later.

Step 2: Check your observations.

Setups or exposures where 90%+ is a breeze are a GO, meaning, move to the next level.

Setups or exposures where you see some signs of mild stress are a SLOW DOWN, meaning, repeat this setup or exposure to see if you get the same reading.

Setups or exposures where you see any signs of moderate to severe stress are a STOP, meaning, stop and reassess. Go back to an easier level or adjust the steps to make your dog successful.

Step 3: Assess your data. Do you notice any patterns emerging? Watch your spreadsheet; you might start to see reasons for setbacks.

Step 4: Create your next setup or exposure based on this one. Most students have to repeat the same steps a few days in a row in order to get a green light. This is very common! In fact, we recommend it just to build a strong foundation. Remember - it's all about going at your dog's pace, not yours.
