I’ve tried everything!

“I’ve tried everything!”

Does this sound like you? You’ve scoured the internet, you’ve gotten advice from friends, family, and strangers on social media, and perhaps you’ve hired a trainer but haven’t found success yet!

Don’t despair! Separation Anxiety is a very complex beast and there is a lot of info out there that is well-meant, but very conflicting and often impractical.

I’ll bet you’ve been told to ignore your dog before you leave and after you come home, to stuff a Kong and leave music on. Perhaps you’re getting complaints from neighbours and that’s putting a serious strain on your relationship with your dog. Have you resorted to pricey “training collars”, crates, or “natural remedies”?

If you’re sick of exercising your dog to exhaustion just so that you can leave (and still come home to a disaster zone or noise complaints), this program is going to be for you.

I have been there. I spent 11.5 years suffering alongside my German Shepherd & Husky mix, Parker, as he destroyed my baseboards and door frames, clawed through drywall and concrete, triggered six eviction notices, jumped out of three windows, flooded my bathroom, and then some.

I spent over a decade trying the popular advice given to me by trainers and friends alike, all to no avail:

  • Stuffed Kongs and food toys
  • More exercise
  • Bark collars / sonic devices
  • Crating
  • Leaving him with a smelly shirt of mine
  • Playing classical music
  • Putting a Thundershirt on him
  • Various natural remedies & synthetic pheromones
  • Picking up my keys 20x a day, wearing my shoes and coat around the house
  • Coming and going for longer and longer periods

I was exhausted and depressed, knowing that my dog was miserable. I moved almost a dozen times. but I was not ready to give up on him!

I finally hired a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer and suddenly everything made sense. For the first time, I wasn’t being given generic advice and expected to follow it on my own; I had a custom, tailored plan for Parker (just having a plan was a huge relief!) and almost daily support. Yes, it was baby-steps, but for the first time in over a decade, I was seeing progress.

In a matter of months, I could confidently walk out the door and go to work, leaving him for 5 hours, stress-free. I got my life back! I found freedom and he found peace.

I can help you get there too. Toss all the ol’ tools and advice aside and let’s tackle this beast with science.
