Handling

Here is all the handling your puppy needs to experience on a regular basis. Remember that none of these happen for “free”, meaning, do not take for granted that you can handle your puppy. A lack of positive experiences with handling is exactly why many dogs are surrendered when they hit adolescence. They will tolerate it until suddenly they don’t. And when they don’t, they bite. This is typical dog behaviour and it’s up to you to make it a fantastic experience every time. Start easy, start small. Pair the experience with tasty food. Do our Fear Free Handling classes! Your vet and groomer will thank you forever!
